Our Story

Visual Limes was founded 1993

“Born from the visionary outlook of its founders, Visual Limes was established in 1993 with a firm determination to contribute to the development of information management systems applied to the healthcare sector. This initiative emerged with the aim of enhancing the quality of patient care by providing healthcare professionals with a tool to access crucial information in real-time.

In 1993, Visual Limes launched the first version of Nefrosoft®. This software, developed in collaboration with nephrologists and nursing experts in nephrology, became a pioneer in managing information for patients with renal diseases in nephrology services of hospitals and dialysis clinics. Its impact was such that, in 1997, the Spanish Society of Nephrology declared it as software of scientific interest.

Four years later, in 1997, Visual Limes launched Farhos®, a revolutionary software for hospital pharmacy management. Developed with active participation from hospital pharmacists, Farhos® stood out nationally for its comprehensive coverage of hospital pharmacy service needs, as well as its robustness and reliability.

Visual Limes’ trajectory extends beyond these two milestones. The company has contributed to integrating Nefrosoft® and Farhos® with other information systems and has made significant efforts in collaborative projects, such as creating the quality indicator records website for the Spanish Society of Nephrology or collaborating with HL7 Spain to define communication protocols between information systems alongside experts from across the country.
